Full Review
The Beatbot AquaSense 2 is the robot that makes you question why you ever dealt with a cord. Four independent motors handle drive, brush, suction, and waterline scrubbing separately — each optimized for its specific job. The result is noticeably stronger cleaning on every surface versus single or dual-motor competitors.
The 16-sensor navigation system is the other standout. The AquaSense 2 maps your pool on its first run using a combination of ultrasonic sensors, proximity detection, and path optimization software. Irregular shapes, steps, benches, and tight corners were handled without getting stuck in every test we ran.
The smart surface parking is a genuine quality-of-life improvement over every corded robot we've used. When the cycle finishes or the battery gets low, the robot drives to the pool edge and stops just below the surface. You reach in and lift it out at arm height — no reaching to the bottom of a 6-foot-deep pool to retrieve it.
Bob Vila tested 9 robots head-to-head in 2026 and named the AquaSense 2 their Best All-in-One pick — above the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus (their Best Overall for traditional corded robots). The 3-year full replacement warranty (not repair — full machine replacement) is exceptional at this price point. Dolphin and Polaris offer 2-3 year warranties but they cover repairs, not instant machine replacement.
Who It's For
Pool owners who want the best cordless experience money can buy under $1,000. Anyone who hates fishing for a corded robot at the bottom of their pool. Large pool owners (up to 60 ft).
Strict budget buyers — the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus delivers 80% of this performance at $499. Anyone who wants Dolphin or Polaris brand name support and dealer network.
