Full Review
Dolphin took their time entering the cordless market. The Nautilus EON 100 shows why the wait was worth it: they did not just add a battery to an existing design. The JetIQ system is built from the ground up for cordless operation, with a new motor architecture optimized for battery efficiency without sacrificing suction power.
The standout spec is what it cleans: floor, walls, waterline, steps, sun ledges, safety ledges, and corners. No other robot at this price point covers steps and sun ledges as part of its standard cycle. If your pool has a tanning ledge or steps leading into shallow water, the EON 100 is the only robot that handles those areas automatically.
SmartMap navigation maps your pool on the first cycle and optimizes every subsequent run. The Maytronics One app (newer than the MyDolphin app used on older models) lets you monitor cycle progress, get alerts, and schedule cleaning from your phone.
The 1-year warranty at $899 is the main concern. At this price, Dolphin's usual 2-year coverage would be expected. Extended warranty options are available at purchase and worth considering. That said, Dolphin's build quality means this concern is largely theoretical — their failure rate in the first year is exceptionally low.
Who It's For
Dolphin loyalists who want to go cordless without leaving the brand ecosystem. Pool owners with steps, sun ledges, or tanning shelves that other robots skip.
Budget buyers. Anyone prioritizing warranty length over brand preference. Above-ground pools under 20,000 gal (the Dolphin Escape or AIPER Seagull SE handle those better for less).
