Polaris 9450 Sport Review (2026)
The Polaris sweet spot — power without the remote premium.
The Polaris 9450 Sport is the F9550 without the remote control — and it costs $150 less. If you don't need the ability to manually steer the robot, the 9450 offers the same 4WD navigation, 70-ft cord, and excellent large-pool performance at a more digestible price.

Full Review
The 9450 Sport makes a simple value proposition: same core technology as the F9550 Sport, minus the handheld remote, at a lower price. If you have never used a pool robot with a remote and don't specifically want one, you won't miss it here.
The 4WD navigation is the 9450's strongest asset, shared with its pricier sibling. In our large pool testing (42-ft irregular shape with a tanning ledge and steps), the 9450 handled the transitions between depths and obstacles better than any 2-wheel robot we tested at this price.
The 70-ft cord is genuinely useful for pools over 40 feet. Shorter-cord robots struggle with coverage in very large pools — the cord runs out before the robot reaches the far wall. At 70 ft, coverage was complete in every test session.
The Vortex vacuum intake handles leaves and acorns better than the fine cartridge systems on Dolphin units. If your pool is under trees, the 9450 will ingest debris that clogs other robots.
Who It's For
Large in-ground pool owners (35+ ft) with heavy debris loads who want 4WD navigation without paying for the remote control premium.
Standard-size pool owners (the Nautilus CC Plus handles those better for less). Anyone who specifically wants remote control (upgrade to F9550). App-focused buyers.
