Hayward is the name you see at every pool supply store, every professional pool service truck, every commercial pool installation. They make pumps, filters, heaters, and automation systems that last decades. The AquaVac 600 brings that same engineering heritage to the robotic cleaner category.
In our head-to-head tests against the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus (which costs $50 more), the AquaVac 600 cleaned floors and walls comparably. The Dolphin's swivel cord and built-in scheduler give it an edge on daily convenience, but the Hayward is within arm's reach on cleaning performance.
Where Hayward genuinely wins: service. If something goes wrong in year 3 (outside warranty), Hayward replacement parts are available at every pool supply store. Dolphin parts require online ordering or an authorized service center. For pool owners in areas with Hayward service networks, that means faster, cheaper repairs.
The slim profile deserves mention too. The AquaVac 600 is notably more compact than both Dolphin units — it fits more easily in the storage caddy and in closets with limited depth.
